I'm very happy to see a section dedicated to Law enforcement and Military. I am a retired Illinois Conservation Police Officer (27 years service) and one of my sons is a Conservation Police officer and Major in the US Army reserve with 2 tours of Iraq behind him. Lets hear from other LE and Military. Dave

I attempted service in the Reserves (91W - combat medic/hospital nurse) however, was removed due to EPTS for asthma.
I volunteer with the Texas State guard now, however, work has kept me from keeping my duties as I would like.
I want to thank all of you whom served, are currently, or plan to serve in our Military, especially in today's society and under current administration. I also want to thank all law enforcement on this board. Without your willingness to "go to work" and protect the citizens where you live, we would literally be in bedlam. Thank you.

I've been in the Army Reserves for 7 years. Always ready to rock as an MP.
We're currently ramping up training for deployment to Cuba next year.

I retired from the Fed. Bureau of Prisons after 22 years. I got old and they threw me out the door at the mandatory 57!!
I worked as a CO and then in the medical area as the pharmacist at my first prison and then as an RN ( BSN in 1974) and then did 7 years flying on Con Air as the Flight Nurse. Moved on and started doing Infectious Disease management and Quality Assurance in the prison at Phoenix.
Along the way I became Lead Firearms instructor and a the Western Region M/O (sniper) Instructor and taught all over the US for our SORT Team (SWAT) shooters. I retired as the oldest active SORT operator in the US in May of 07.
This is a great board and I can tell the members bring a ton of experience to the table. Thanks for letting me on board.
Greg

Been a LEO for over 30 years with a very large LE agency (+10,000 sworn). Currently mid-level mgt, but have always (and still do) loved to teach and train in survival/tactics and weapons.
Appreciate this forum and the quality products and service from BHW.

Serving since '99 (I was 17 when I joined) I have roughly 7 more years till retirement. It's had its up and downs but the life experience I've gained thus far is priceless.

Salutations to you all...old warriors.
After the 9/11 attacks I enlisted in the US Marine Corps where I served in the infantry. I was schooled trained 0351 (Assaultman) but once I got to my unit there were short on machine gunners (0331) so I picked up that secondary MOS and loved it. I served for 4 years active duty and 2 years drilling reserves. The guys both in my active and reserve units are some of the craziest, most dirty minded, sons of b****es I have ever met. My brothers for life.....God....Some times I get melancholic and want to reenlist....What great memories. What greater experience.
USMC - No better friend, No worse enemy... Hoorrraaahhh!!!!
