Maybe it will be fine. It just doesn’t make sense to me how it’s even possible. I have necked down several other chamberings and never had this happen. 6 creed, 6x47, 6SIP, etc. I ordered a 6ppc (non bushing) die to see if that helps any. Who is it that sells the 243lbc dies ?

I use bushing dies on well over a dozen wildcats and this is the only one that I have noticed it on and like I said it doesn't happpen every time. CH4D is the source of the dies. Call them direct. They had 8 sets on the shelf when I got mine. They used the reamer print I sent them so these are custom to the BHW 243 LBC chamber. A standard 6 PPC die should eliminate the issue for you also. Greg

I just ran some brass through the Redding die. This is really easy and everything seemed to work great. I did use a Hornady bushing instead of the Wilson.

I too did not like what the necks looked like using the grendel redding bushing die. Looked like a false shoulder for blowing the shoulder out for an AI Bought a cheap hornady 6 arc full length die with expander ball and carefully screwed it in until the entire neck was sized without touching the shoulder. A little imperial sizing wax and imperial dry neck lube and my necks are beautiful. My barrel should be here soon. Can't wait to take it to the range. Now I am about to expand a bunch of 6.8 spec for my America 30 which should be here one day.

Redding bushing dies do not size the entire neck so you see that visual deal all the time on your cases. I've been using them for years and never had an issue. The one positive thing that I see is that the ARC will give us a nice way to size given a standard die approach.

Well i necked down a bunch of 6.5 grendel lapua brass with a cheap hornady arc die. Necks turned out great as you can see. I was on a roll. Found some 95 gr. Berger classic hunters and berger 88 gr flat base and some H4895. Found a load on 6ar of 27.5 gr. Now i have a bunch loaded up. Just waiting on the barrel.

ARC data will be an excellent stating point for LBC loads. Not a lot of difference between 6 PPC but a bit more on board to start. Greg

That is possible. A phone call direct to them would be my suggestion.

The option for the 243 LBC is gone. Hopefully I get mine. If you call please let us know what they say. I'm all set up for the LBC and really wouldn't want a ARC substitute.
